ARGO Awarded Multi-Phased Program to Improve Oyster Population by US Army Corps of Engineers

Millersville, MD (June 30, 2006) - ARGO Systems, LLC has been awarded a contract for a multi-phased shell planting and transplanting program to improve oyster population in the Delaware Bay.

The oyster restoration project, awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers, includes the planting of approximately 500,000 bushels of oyster and clam shell onto the bay bottom to promote oyster recruitment. Approximately 20,000 bushels of newly set oyster seeds will be transplanted up-bay to increase the population of marketable oysters. Clamshell will be purchased and stockpiled for future planting operations.
