Job Summary:

This is the entry level of inspection and documentation of highway, bridge and large civil construction projects to ensure that the contractor’s work performance and product delivery meet or exceed contract plans and specifications requirements. An employee in this classification is required to exercise judgment under the supervision of experienced personnel during routine inspection procedures. Specification disputes; difficult or complex engineering issues are referred to project supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs material testing procedures, e.g., concrete air-meter, slump; soil density and compaction, Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) compaction tests.
  • Performs inspections and prepares technical reports.
  • Reviews construction plans, drawings and specifications for heavy construction projects.
  • Prepares and maintains contract documents in accordance with specifications.
  • Performs field surveys and inspections as required.
  • Inspects and documents erosion and sediment control features per required specifications.
  • May Performs or assist in preliminary layouts and drawings, using engineering criteria, survey notes and basic instructions.

  • Computes as-built quantities for payments to contractors.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Zero to Two (0-2)years; of knowledgeable experience in paraprofessional engineering functions in construction, environmental, storm water, public utilities or related fields; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

Job Summary:

The Project Manager / Estimator’s responsibility includes estimating and managing commercial and institutional building construction projects.  Education and Experience:

  • S. degree in engineering or construction management or 10 years of direct experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor engaged in general building construction and estiamating
  • Experience estimating and managing self performed work activities and subcontracted work
  • Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry
  • EIT, PE, CEM, or PMP certificate / licenses encouraged
  • Secret Clearance or the ability and willingness to obtain one

Position Summary:

• Installs outlet devices, interior and exterior light fixtures, light pole, cable tray, exothermic-weld installations, deck work, and have experience in terminations, etc.
• Must be able to direct/train Electrical Helpers and Apprentices in proper work practices.
• Checks on company equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation and report or repair faulty equipment.
• Maintains a safe working environment and identify potential hazards.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Possesses personal hand tools, tool belt and safety equipment on the job site as required.
• Accurately fills out required company documents (i.e. time sheets, inventory sheets, accident/incident reports, check-off lists, tools lists, etc.).
• Accurately reads labels, job site maps/directions and written instructions.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Reports to Project Manager and is directly responsible for supervising and working along with a crew. Required to maintain effective lines of communication with all company personnel responsible for the project as well as general contractors and sub-contractors. Properly and effectively performs any task related to electrical construction.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Works with Project Manager (PM) to properly start-up projects, plan work.
• Reviews proposed means & methods of installation, develops proposed sequencing of installation and manpower needs (use of Pre-Fab).
• Reviews budgeted hours for the project and sets-up production tracking and hourly reporting systems.
• Develops daily work plans for the installation crew using 2 week look-ahead interval planning.
• Ensures adequate materials, tools and information are available for the installation crews.
• Directs and supervises mechanics, apprentices, and laborers.
• Coordinates electrical installations with other trades.
• Maintains as-built drawings on a daily basis.
• Submits weekly time sheets by 10AM on Mondays with proper cost coding.
• Reviews project submittals for proposed material & equipment to ensure installation is made properly.
• Clearly understands, complies with and enforces Company/Job Safety Requirements (O.S.H.A.) and Company/Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Coordinates and/or attends progress meetings.
• Receives and verifies material and equipment deliveries.
• Safely uses and instructs crew on proper use of all hand and power tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks, including all tools and equipment utilized by apprentices; Conducts weekly Safety Toolbox talks.
• Ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Completes performance evaluations of employees supervised.
• Schedules timely inspections to meet assigned project deadlines.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Position Summary:

Working independently, will be responsible for providing management with detailed pricing for development of bid quotations & packages for distribution to contractors. Handles contracting and procurement of essential bid/estimating documents. Confirms any technical changes to plan prior performance of work, and obtains purchase orders as appropriate from contractors. Responsible for maintaining all paperwork necessary for billing purposes. Prepares estimates from builder-provided plans and specifications as needed. Where applicable, works w/contractors to ensure understanding of code requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepares estimates as requested, using provided plans and specifications.
  • Provides detailed/accurate take-off and associated pricing for development of bid pricing and quotations.
