ARGO Systems conducted an investigation and assessment of the sanitary sewer systems for defects via an Inflow/Infiltration (I/I) Study at the Naval Support Activity Annapolis (NSAA), the Naval Support Facility Indian Head (NSFIH), and the Naval Air Station Patuxent River (NASPR). NSAA had almost 28,000 linear feet of gravity sewer mains, 3,000 linear feet of forced sewer mains, 95 manholes, 8 pumping stations, and 3 grinder stations. NSFIH had over 67,000 linear feet of sewer mains, 11 basins, and over 475 manholes. The sanitary sewage system of NASPR contains 157,000 linear feet of gravity sewer mains and about 650 manholes (ongoing). The assessment utilized the latest technologies in GIS, CCTV, and smoke testing.
As a separate competitive task order, ARGO was awarded the contract to provide the design and contract documentation for a design/build project for the repairs to the existing wastewater distribution system at the North Severn Area of the Naval Support Activity Annapolis (NSA Annapolis), Annapolis, Maryland. The design is based on the draft report for the I&I Study ARGO performed at the NSA Annapolis Facility and includes repairs to manholes, relining and repair of specific distribution lines. The repairs are identified by basin and are prioritized based on the extent of damage and degree of effort.
